Polar Bear Adventure!

“Look! Over to the left!”
The traveller's excited voice caught everyone’s attention!
We were riding high above the ground on the famous Tundra Buggy, an oversized school bus painted snow white, sitting on a monster truck frame with gigantic dump truck tires. Thirty pairs of eyes looked out the windows at the spectacle.
Crawling slowly east of Churchill next to the sand and pebble-strewn shore of Manitoba's Hudson Bay, we had come upon a female polar bear, feeding on the remains of a black seal carcass. Nearby, her two small, one-year-old cubs playfully stumbled and rolled on the desolate and cold tundra. It was enthralling to watch this intimate family gathering!
The massive Tundra Buggy stayed motionless for an hour, as passengers quietly lowered their sliding windows, to observe and happily snap photos. Soon, the three bears moved off, and the big diesel engine roared back to life, as we went exploring for more bears.
Find out what happens next, as Voyageurfred takes you on another fascinating quest - on a polar bear adventure! From the icy fjords of Svalbard, Norway to the undulating tundra of cold, forlorn and remote Hudson Bay, it’s a 90 minute show featuring the wildlife, culture, life and history of these Northern communities.
