It's Back - the Fireworks Fiesta Tour!

3 Explosive Shows in 3 Different Locations - All within 10 days!

June 24, July 3 and July 6, 2025

The renowned and spectacular Montreal International Fireworks Competition returns on June 26, 2025 with 8 shows! What better way for fireworks enthusiasts of this visual eye candy to photograph three different shows, at three different locations - all within 10 days!

Tuesday June 24 - Our first rendezvous is at Millennium Park in Dorval, to capture the St Jean Baptiste Day festivities and fireworks. This large, spacious and grassy municipal park with its three distinctive gazebos, live entertainment and free parking, sits next to Lake St Louis. The fiery rockets, seen in image two, are launched by the BEM Fireworks company from a barge floating in the lake, providing superb reflections!

The evening starts at 7 pm with a Meet & Greet wine and cheese party at my residence. Inspirational images from previous fireworks will be shown as we discuss pre-shoot tips and techniques with what to expect.

At 9:30 pm, we walk to nearby Millennium Park to set up for the start of the pyrotechnics show at 10 pm. A celebratory wrap-up, image editing and evaluation plus a Q & A session concludes the evening as we wait for the traffic to clear.

Thursday July 3 - On our second outing, we switch to the lush Parc Dieppe, with its rolling hills, picnic tables and beautiful views of the Montreal city harbour and skyline. With a tips and techniques refresher, here we will photograph the changing light as the sun sets behind the city's shimmering skyscrapers.

Precisely at 10 pm, Italy will present its dazzling show! With pleasant river breezes, it's a great way to escape the summer heat while soaking in spectacular city views! We conclude the evening with an on-site image evaluation, chatting and reflecting on the evening while waiting for the traffic to clear.

Note: This fireworks session proceeds rain or shine!

Sunday July 6 - For our third destination, we rendezvous at a South Shore park with free parking, then walk to my favourite secret spot, to capture the magnificent fiery explosions launched from St Helen's Island.
Japan lights up the skies synchronized to ethereal music!

With excellent views, unobstructed sightlines, magnificent reflections on the St. Lawrence River before us, and beautiful Mount Royal capped with its illuminated cross, this location offers stunning visuals. Socializing in a nearby bistro follows. See the first image.

Note: This fireworks session proceeds rain or shine!
